Youth workers take the lead in promoting Wellbeing Through Art

It’s so inspiring to see our youth workers from the Healthy Arts Project putting their training into action!

After completing a dynamic programme focused on using the arts to support mental health and wellbeing, these passionate individuals are now taking the next step, designing and delivering creative, meaningful activities for the young people they work with.

Drawing on everything they’ve learned from building confidence and emotional resilience to using creative expression as a tool for connection, they are already beginning to shape sessions that are not only fun and engaging but also deeply supportive of mental and emotional wellbeing.

From collaborative art projects to mindful drawing exercises, these activities are designed to give young people a safe space to explore their feelings, express themselves and grow in confidence, all while developing new skills and having fun.

“I never realised how powerful art could be until I saw how it helped one of my group open up about something they’d never talked about before. This training has changed the way I work with young people,” - Healthy Arts Project Youth Worker

And this is just the beginning! We’re incredibly proud of their dedication and we can’t wait to see the positive ripple effects their work will have across our communities. The Healthy Arts Project isn’t just about art, it’s about empowering young people to thrive and these youth workers are leading the way.

Stay tuned for more updates as their projects come to life!
