Voice, Identity, and Confidence Through Music
Cime di Rapp used music and singing as tools for self-expression, confidence-building, and emotional well-being. The session created a supportive environment where participants explored language, identity, and emotion through songs meaningful to them.
Singing in front of the group was a transformative moment for many. Participants reported increased confidence in public speaking and self-expression, often sharing that it was the first time they felt safe performing in front of others. Music became a bridge between individual identity and collective belonging.
Competences developed
- Self-awareness: Expressing identity through music
- Emotional expression: Releasing emotions through performance
- Cultural pride: Singing in native languages
- Confidence & communication: Comfort in speaking and performing
Engagement was exceptionally high, with participants extending the activity by sharing additional songs and cultural references. Cultural adaptation—through native languages, instruments, and bilingual support—was central to the session’s success.
